Re: Recent Resignation

Hello everyone,
By now I’m sure many of you have seen the news regarding the resignation of CSRA
president-elect Northy effective immediately from the CSRA. We fully accept and
understand their decision to leave the role within the organization.
With their decision to step down we just want to ensure that a few items are clarified
regarding the stance of the Canadian Socialist Rifle Association.
Firstly, we vehemently stand against the rise of right-wing populism and fascism in all its forms,
and will remain committed to combating this at every step. Through dedicated community
action and general organizing with its members. Furthermore, any support for fascism is not
tolerated, and will be met with swift action.
Secondly, the CSRA is firm on its stance regarding anti-colonialism. The harm colonialism has
brought to communities and countries around the world are well-documented and needs to
be addressed in a constant ongoing battle.
We want to assure everyone that we are committed to these ideals, and are also
conducting an internal investigation regarding the leaked and posted screenshots of recent
matters.
Thank you everyone for your support as we continue to battle these issues that plague a fair
and Democratic society.
